I am an adult, but I have been having more zits lately on my back, shoulders, and chest. I figured it was just stress so I figured they would just be a part of my now stressful life.
However, after a few months, I decided to do some research. Stress is a contributing factor, but so is dehydration. I haven't been drinking as much water lately so I thought I would start to make a conscious effort to drink more water during the day. It seems that in the past two weeks I have had fewer zits even though I still have the same stress levels and shower routine.
I'm not sure if this is a good discussion topic, but I wanted to share this and maybe hear if anyone else has had success with avoiding zits by staying well hydrated?
As for why, I guess it has to do with dry skin tightening and closing the pores. Makes sense to me. Especially in the winter when the heat is on and the air is drier.
